This appears to be an Orbweaver Spider in genus Araneus. Her venom isn’t dangerous to people. She would only bite if she was trapped against bare skin and needed to escape. You mentioned that you are afraid of spiders. This website is run entirely by volunteers. Many of our volunteers learned end the fear. It is possible.
