I took the photo- I was picking red currants and she dropped into my bucket! The description said that the female goldenrod crab can be white- am interested in the correct identification! Thanks
No problem. She’s a Crab Spider with a greater range of color change abilities. She’s a White-banded Crab Spider, Misumenoides formosipes. The white band in her common name runs under her eyes. That is a ID clue the other site missed. She’s in her base color here. The colors and linear patterns she sees around her triggers pigments in liquid to trade places in her body which can change her body and legs and markings to new colors.
