Comments & ID Thoughts
After spending far too much time on websites I THINK I have determined that this appears to be a Phidippus Cardinalis???? The little guy(?) was on my lIving room wall, so this grandma picked him up, using a tissue, then tossed it into the kitchen garbage. Having never seen one of thEse, however, I retrieved the wad of tissue, and he limped out, hardly the worse for wear. I put him into a jelly glass, and he (it) was perfectly able to climb up the glass, and sit by the inner lid. After I took some (very lousy) photos, I took him outside, (yep!), and put him under a big Canadian Chokecherry tree. Off he went. (food for birds, or??) Sorry for the photo quality, but sure would like verification. I only found photos of him on your site here, and a mention of Colorado. Obviously, Montana has them, also???
