This spider has been active on our back deck in Brooklyn for the past week and we have really enjoyed watching it. It is very quick and agile. It keeps changing its web, but mostly the web connects between our big table umbrella, the deck railing, and an overhanging tree branch. The spider's body is probably about 0.75" long. I don't really know spiders so I don't have a guess as to species. A friend said it is some kind of orb weaver, which I imagine doesn't narrow it down all that much. - Josh
