Hi, it looks like a Slender Crab Spider in genus Tibellus.

I found one too in White Sulphur Springs, or I should say it found me. Instead of retrieving away from me it was following my every move like it was stalking me. It climb right on me and I accidentally threw it off when the spider startled me it came right back and did the same thing again. It actually scared me how feisty it was. I was sitting in my recliner and the spider came back twice, then literally dashed towards the direction I would move my hand or face. I do have a picture of it but didn’t… Read more »

Hi, all spiders have some venom for killing prey. Very few have chemicals that are potent to humans or other mammals. Allergic reactions are possible but very rare. I don’t know why it was so attracted to you. I’ve had that happen with a huge male sphinx moth. I don’t know if it can be a cross-species pheromone thing, or a chemical, like sunscreen that I had on. The Polyphemus moth insisted on being with me, people thought I had a big piece of butterfly jewelry on. I felt bad when I had to put it facing away from me… Read more »
