Yes you are correct that is a black widow and it’s a female highly dangerous

Nobody in USA has died from a Black Widow bite since 1983. They prefer to avoid us big animals, we’re quite fatal to Black Widows. They don’t see well and try to stay hidden and away from accidental contact. Spider bites mostly occur when a person has skin pressed against a spider, one way or another. They are very sensitive to contact pressure because it threatens their lives. Spiders usually bite people to get the people to let go of them or get off of them.
