Comments & ID Thoughts

Someone suggested to me that it may be a small wolf spider. This spider was found moving toward a pinkish pile of fiber-like fluffy stuff with black specks in the pile, the pile and spider were spotted in a window seat directly underneath a window. About five days before spotting the spider and the second pile/nest I found the first pinkish pile of fluffy fibers the size of a large egg with the same black specks...I cleaned up the pile/nest with a vac after taking photos of it...now days later in the EXACT spot I find the beginnings of the same type pile/nest...I left it alone after taking a pic and came back about an hour later to find the spider walking quickly toward the pile...got my camera and recorded him...then removed him and the pile/nest once more.

Hi, this is a Jumping Spider (Salticidae). I’ll look at it again when I have a little more time to see if I can narrow it down further.
