Comments & ID Thoughts

My apologies that the spider was killed, it caught me off guard while sleeping. I felt something on my neck, I went to scratch and must’ve applied to much pressure. The spider left a fairly painful parting gift that swelled up and continued to hurt the rest of the day. Best guess is a noble false widow but I’d love to get other opinions.

Close guess but this is Steatoda grossa and not Steatoda nobilis. Very similar in appearance but S. grossa have triangular markings while S. nobilis has markings more similar to lungs.
