Comments & ID Thoughts

I think this could be Trachelas tranquillus
(Broad-faced Sac Spider) based off of he information I found on your website, but am not sure. Found spider on my kitchen floor, making a run for it, so my photo captured this spider on the move. Getting ready to release this release spider outside. I don’t like killing them, unless they are venomous. That said, if a spider is in my house, I much prefer the orb weavers. I actually have one in my laundry room - been there at least 5 months and has caught many sprickets for me- and even wolf spiders amongst others. So I named her Piglet. Don’t get me wrong, I would scream if she crawled on me- but she won’t because she’s an orb weaver and stays in the same spot. She catches and wraps three or four bugs a day, leaving them on the floor under her web all wrapped up. Not sure what she is, though.
The spider in my photo does not appear to be an orb weaver to me. Was curious if I was right about it being a broad faced sac spider. I am not getting close enough to look at it’s genitalia. It’s alive and fast. So letting it go outside. Let me know what you guys think this is? Am I right? Is this a Trachelas tranquillus?

Definitely a Trachelas species. There are a few but tranquilis makes the most sense based off of range. If you can post a picture of your other spider I, or someone else on this site, would love to identify your other roommate.
