Interesting! Note: the white on it is not markings, may be paint. Check out the fleshy bases to the eyes. They have great eyesight. These have also been called Ogre-faced Spiders.
Thank you very much. I’ve lived around here for years and never seen this particular kind of spider in the garden and I couldn’t find any answers by googling. It’s looks really cool, I had to know more.
You’re quite welcome! Honestly, I used Google Lens as a starting point for identifying it. With Spiders, the third guess by Lens is usually the closest. It helps with spiders I’ve never had the opportunity to identify before, then I can use the hints in an educated way. The “Ogre face” on your spider is fantastic!
