Comments & ID Thoughts

Hello Again,
Five years later with a different spider identification mystery and a slightly different location. The image is a "collage" where the bottom right is the initial photo, I thought my dog stepped on it- It was after midnight so technically Friday morning November 11, 2021 here in Wilmington, NC. It was a few feet inside from the back door and when I took the second picture it moved, I jumped, liquid spilled and outstretched red spider in the top photo. The only other unwanted creatures I can confirm were a scary number of Brown Widow spiders outside and in garage earlier this year- (yes) confirmed photos, spike egg sacs and a bite on my toe! Also tons of tree frogs keep coming in when someone leaves the door open...

Some spiders can really mess up their photo shoots by jumping! It’s happened to me a few times too. 🙂
