Awww, she was a cute Hentz Orbweaver. She’s in the resting/defensive posture. The spider that led me to this website years ago was a Hentz Orbweaver that I found in this position, sleeping with leaves wrapped around her. She was too cute to ignore.
I love them so much. Before I moved I had loads of Cat Face spiders around my home, I haven’t seen any here but it’s sure nice to see these robust orb weavers. ☺️
