Crawling across the living room floor. When it was sprayed with Black Flag Spider and Scorpion killer it just stunned it for a minute then it started to crawl off and it's back part of it's body came off

Like most spiders they have venom but are not considered to be of medical significance and are unlikely to bite except in self defense. Everyone’s immune system is different though. You can reduce the numer of spiders you find indoors by sealing cracks around floors, doors, windows, foundation etc., vacuum everywhere and empty the cansiter outside. This isn’t a species that would normally do well indoors, so they’re probably wandering in somewhere by mistake.

No, they make little burrows in the ground.

I find them where there is tall grass.

You’re welcome. Looking again and zooming in I’m not sure I interpreted the line on the carapace right. If there is a thin line it should be T. helluo, if not Varacosa avara is another I should have conisdered. I figured it was so dark because you mentioned spraying it.
