I think it may be an Araneus diadematus. According to Wikipedia: “The spider species Araneus diadematus is commonly called the European garden spider, diadem spider, orangie, cross spider and crowned orb weaver. It is sometimes called the pumpkin spider”
Found a similar one in this link: https://bugguide.net/node/view/299874/bgimage
which leads me to believe it is the same or a similar species, but want to verify.
