Found this spider on the kitchen counter. It appeared to have crawled out of a bunch of kale. Based on pics from web search, it may be a female False Widow?? Steatoda Nobilis or Steatoda Grossa?

Almost all spiders are venomous for a quick kill of the prey. The only types of spiders in North America that have medically significant venom are: Black Widows, Brown Widows, and the Recluses. Even those are extremely rarely fatal. Americans really worry way too much about spider bites. That’s actually a main point of our website. ๐Ÿ™‚ False Widows rarely bite, I haven’t heard from anyone who has been bitten. I’ve handled the ones that live in my house a couple of times.
