Comments & ID Thoughts
I believe this spider is False Black Widow. I have no other information about sex or age. It certainly scared me coming at me in my children’s bathroom! If you have any information to share please do so!

Hi, you got the ID right. Filed. 🙂 Like most spiders they have venom but are unlikely to bite except in self defense and are not considered to be of medical significance – everyone’s immune system is different though. You can reduce the number of spiders you find indoors buy sealing cracks around floors, doors, windows, ceilings, foundation etc., vacuum everywhere and empty the canister outside.
That’s excellent information! Thank you so much!
I found two more tonight! One climbing on a wall, and the other scurrying across our carpet. I’ve done all the spider hacks and they just don’t stop! Actually, I haven’t tried the peppermint or essential oils sprays yet. I’m willing to try though!
