wanna say either a wolf spider or, based on its abdomen, some time of jumping spider. help! (can i let these guys roam around? i have a pup that spends lots of time outdoors)

It is a Wolf Spider (Gladicosa gulosa). They shouldn’t bite unless your dogs tried to antagonize the spider. However, even then your dogs should be alright. Their venom isn’t very strong, from my understanding. As well, Wolf Spiders tend to be pretty relaxed spiders to begin with so bites are unlikely.
