Guys help idk what this spider type is! Can someone tell me? Is it a new species? Has anyone else seen this type of spider?

This is Steatoda triangulosa, a Triangulate Cobweaver. They’re very useful spiders. Their venom isn’t dangerous to people, but they are very effective at killing insects and other arachnids, including ticks. Any animal that eats ticks is a friend of mine. 🙂 I have at least one Triangulate Cobweaver in the kitchen with me right now. Yours is in its scared defensive posture, so “praying spider” is appropriate. They stop moving or run away when bright light is on them. I think feeding mosquitoes to anything that will eat them is always a great idea. I’ve never been able to catch a silverfish, they’re too quick and there are usually people panicking as it scurries around. There are easier prey. This time of year in our cold homelands moths around porch lights are the easiest. She would like a nice house fly, but they aren’t in season. Have fun!
