Comments & ID Thoughts

My initial thought was Tigrosa helluo but I actually think she’s Tigrosa georgicola due to dorsal markings and her beautiful egg sac. We were “no mow May” in our front yard and my wife uncovered her after cutting the grass. I scooped her up in a glass bowl (the spider, not my wife) rather than by hand out of concern for harming the clutch. We displaced her to another damp and grassy area of the property. A big, beautiful wolf spider with an egg sac the size of a marble.

Sorry for the late reply, but yes, she is a very beautiful T. georgicola. Thank you for being friendly with them.
