Picture of unidentified spider

Comments & ID Thoughts

I’m worried this is a brown recluse spider. I’ve never ever seen a spider like this in my life in my house. It matches so many photos. With the light angle it’s hard to show the color of the spider. This is after I of course killed it out of pure panic.

The ventral markings of the abdomen do not match the Brown Recluse (Loxosceles reclusa). The markings look like it could be a spider in the Funnel Weaver family (tentatively Agelenopsis sp., although I do not see the diagnostic spinnerets of that genus). https://bugguide.net/node/view/1259466
