This is a Cobweaver Spider in genus Steatoda, probably Steatoda grossa. They are beneficial spiders in a house. They eat just about any bug that gets into the house, especially ones that fly. They’re known to eat Cockroaches, locusts, and ticks too. Mine mostly east flies and moths. They do not have medically significant venom. There are UK media outlets, that greatly exaggerate and lie about these spiders hunting down and killing humans. It’s 100% false. I think they can’t even see us. They seem to only see light and dark.
