Hello, I found what I believe to be one of these spiders last night in our bathroom, it was apparently living in the wall by squeezing under the baseboard. I was able to transfer it outside, but was unable to get a picture as it was late and didn’t wish to wake everyone. This is in Winnipeg Manitoba on Sept 11th 2021.The distinctive legs forward is what made me look this up as it was very crab like in appearance, unlike usual spiders with well spaced legs. This group of crab spiders are referred to as ground crab spiders and are fairly common across Canada and the USA. The genus is most likely Xysticus (Family Thomisidae). For the Winnipeg area, you can see all the different ground crab spider types here –
