Dolomedes tenebrosus, a Dark Fishing Spider. Fishing Spiders have very similar markings to Wolf Spiders. Thanks for giving the identification an attempt!
They like bathtubs, I think they can sense the water in the drain trap.
The visual difference is that Fishing Spiders are low-slung ( they float) and can climb verticals and “splat” themselves on walls for hours.They have pointy butts too.
Wolf Spiders are top-heavy and don’t climb well. They have big round butts. That was my non-scientific version of comparative anatomy of big spiders. 😉
