Comments & ID Thoughts
I rescued and released this lil lad from my coworker's office! I believe he is either a Phidippus Audax, or Phidippus Regius!
This is the third Phidippus I have rescued from my office.
Any suggestions on how to distinguish between P. Audax vs. P. Regius?

I know right?! I seriously find a jumping spider almost everyday at work. Love these lil guys so much
You’re a bit out of the natural range of P. regius. The info page of Bug Guide goes into some depth into separating P. regius and P. audax. https://bugguide.net/node/view/2006 Also the photos they have on there can help get an idea of the varitions of colors and markings. Mainly juveniles and sub-adult to adult males of P. regius are most often confused with P. audax. Due to the black and white coloration. However females of P. regius lose that black and white coloration during the juvenile to sub-adult stages of their life. https://bugguide.net/node/view/50797/bgimage
Ahhh!!!! That makes sense!!! I’m guessing they are most likely P. Audax then!! Thank you for providing those resources!!! I appreciate the info ʕ•ᴥ•ʔノ♡.
I’ve seen a couple of jumpers around my office that look similar to the P. Audax, but are lighter in color, and don’t have much green on their chelicera. I wish it was easier to identify spiders! ^w^
