Comments & ID Thoughts

Can anyone tell me what kind of a spider is this? Is it dangerous, poisoners or harmless? Found it in corner of my tile roof. The web is thicker than the usual ones. I noticed a small red spot in it's belly as well. Has a small brown pattern.

Hi, your image has been filed. (See above image for ID.) 🙂

Like most spiders they have venom but are unlikely to bite except in self defense and are not considered to be of medical significance, everyone’s immune system is different though.

They’re not considered to be of medical significance, a quick google search of “Nephilengys toxicity” didn’t reveal much however, I don’t think much is known about it. Everyone’s immune system is different.
