We've never seen spider like this in or around our house. Found on the bathroom floor, but possibly brought with some tools from the basement/attic. The side of the square marble tile visible on the left is 1.25"

Looking at other Connecticut spiders on this website this might be: Trachelas tranquillus
(Broad-faced Sac Spider)
Hi I am just visiting the site looking at pictures. I know from other comments that the lists of spiders by state is not meant to be exhaustive. It’s just a list of spider pictures submitted by site members from that state. I had a look at the sac spider picture and while it is similar to this one I think that Dysdera crocata (Woodlouse Hunter) is a better match.
