I have no idea what this is. At first I thought it was a cellar spider but it doesn't look like one. This is the second big spider I've seen in my new apartment, and I don't want to find out I have infestation of spiders that could potentially harm my 5 year old.

This might be Artema atlanta, a Giant Daddy Longlegs. https://bugguide.net/node/view/288427 It is an introduced species, the largest Cellar Spiders. According to the Bugguide Info section, one of the main colonies is in Arizona. They aren’t listed as one of the few medically significant spider species in USA. There is a possibility of bacterial infections from any spider and insect bites. If I had kids I would teach them to not handle bugs against their skin and to tell me if they get bitten.
