Hi. I’m just a novice but I think this might be one of the spider family Amaurobiidae, commonly known as Hacklemesh Weavers.
Gravid (pregnant) Amaurobius ferox.
Great thank u. Now that you say it I see it is ferox. Do you think I set off to the chain of notifications explosion by doing something odd when I copied in the link to your comment. I am afraid to reply to the discussion in case I set off another round of notifications. Doh.
I’m not sure what caused it. I only received the multiple notifications regarding tangled web. Perhaps just a one time glitch?
Hopefully. Thanks again for that. If you come across any other of my ids that you can clarify or correct, would you do it. I’ll never learn otherwise. 🙂
