With a quick Google image search I identified this guy as a Metacyrba taeniola. According to what I could find, this is a male jumping spider and I found and article from Switzerland (I believe) that said they're commonly called ribbon jumping spiders. As for America, the only common name I could find for this specific species was male jumping spider.
