Hi. I am a site just a visitor but I think this is a lace weaver spider in the genus Amaurobius. This looks to me to be an adult female about to lay eggs soon. We have 3 species over here in Ireland and England – ferox, similis and fenestralis. I wouldn’t be experienced enough to tell them apart. But from what I can see ferox tends to be slightly larger and darker than the other two.

Sorry. I just realised that that was as clear as mud. I don’t think your spider is dark enough to be A. ferox. So it might be one of the other two.
