Yes, an Orchard Orbweaver, Leucauge venusta. I think it is female. The female Orchard Orbweavers are relatively small orbweavers. The reason I think it is female is because it is at the center of the orb web. The females make the large webs for hunting. Males that attempt to mate start signaling their intent from the edge, where they can escape quickly if the female is aggressive. There are a few orbweaver species where the male is allowed to stay on the web with the female after mating. I don’t think this is one of them.
