This spider was on our pool net just hanging out. I went to use the bet to take leaves out of the pool and saw it on the net. It walked around the bet and didn't float away. It stayed attached to the net and walked all around even under water. Reminded me of a crab the way it walked so easily. It seemed to be a brownish color and maybe a little fuzzy. It was hard to tell once it got wet but it was huge in my opinion.

It’s an auto-selected choice that I want to have changed in the site’s programming. You found a Fishing Spider in genus Dolomedes. They like outdoor pools. They can sometimes be found hanging out near the skimmers, letting the current bring fresh bugs right to them. They like to watch from above too. In shallow water they put a few of their feet in the water and feel for prey vibrations. When they dive under water air bubbles form on the hairs on their bodies. That gives them extra buoyancy.
