I think this may be a triangulate cob web spider. It was found in my garage on a web in a ceiling corner. It’s abdomen (?) looks a little more bulbous in other pictures I took/diff angles. It was found in Rapid City, SD.

One more additional bit of info: the brown zig-zag marking is the same on the side that you can’t see part of in the picture. In other words, each side is parallel in terms of those markings. And it’s on a paper towel in the picture. Including outstretched legs, this one would have been similar in size to a nickel or quarter.
