Is this a female Tigrosa grandis?

Are you sure? The spider’s body (not including the legs) in the photograph was at least two inches long?
Two centimeters, yes … two inches however sounds excessive. You would need a ruler or something in the image to demonstrate that. T. helluo and T. grandis are similar in size. I am distinguishing this from T. grandis because I can’t make out the light patches on the face and the anterior half of the median carapace stripe doesn’t appear to taper. If you have another image that clearly shows those features that would support T. grandis.

This spider would fill an adult hand. At first we thought it was a tarantula because of its size.
