Looks like a species in the genus of Steatoda. Coloring is on top and under abdomen.Was found in its web 5 feet off ground on side of house outdoors. It has been in same location for a few weeks now.

Parasteatoda tepidariorum. She’s a Common House Spider. You were close on the ID. They are in the same family as Steatoda. Parasteatoda seem more likely to have leg band markings. The markings vary, there may be more species of Parasteatoda in an area than is known. The males are smaller and orangey. I’ve never actually seen a Common House Spider in a house, just on houses. Their webs are different than Steatoda, more likely to be higher off the ground and in sunlight.
