Found this big guy a night after finding a huge house centipede dead in the exact same spot I found the spider the next day?!? Very weird perhaps it was hunting lol either way this is 1 of 2 that I have found now and the first was much larger could this be a sign of a problem I might need to handle and exactly what kind of spiders are these?

This one is also upside down. I do think it’s probably the same.
I no longer have either spider so do you think it’s definitely in the wolf spider family or is there a chance its a different species?
I think they are funnel weavers, family Agelenidae.
So not a wolf spider then? Does it’s spinnerets help at all? I’ve never seen such a small spider with such large spinnerets???
Large spinnerets are consistent with a funnel weaver.
Could they be the eastern parson spider?
No, not a parson spider. Your spiders have banding on their legs.
Yes House Centipedes hunt spiders. I have one killing my house spiders. Hopefully a spider will win a fight. I saw one of the centipedes kill a False Widow by using its legs to pin the spider before killing it. The spider curled up like yours almost instantly. Maybe your spider was able to get a bite into the centipede before dying.
I think you might be misunderstood the house centipede was dead and it was extremely large! At least 4x the size of this spider yet the centipede was dead the night before very very weird especially if these are funnel weavers bc the centipede was found in my bathtub dead! Is this a funnel weaver or a thin legged wolf spider?!?!
