I don't think the smaller spider is a tarantula but that is a tarantula next to it. The tarantula promptly killed the smaller one. This is the same spider that I posted on the 7th.

Ah poor little thing. I think joot was.right taht the smaller one is likely to have been a very young tarantula. They are often not like their parents.
