Right size and shape of a adult female black widow. (Grew up and lived in L.A. so I know bw by sight)
No red hour glass, and have never seen one in the pacific NW.

Appropriately, she’s a False Black Widow, Steatoda grossa. She’s in the same family, Theridiidae, as the Widows. She can eat them too. Her venom is much weaker and not dangerous to people. It is still strong enough to kill ticks, roaches, locusts, Recluses, and a lot of other bugs. They try to avoid being seen and will stop moving or run for something that looks dark if she’s caught in bright light. Basically, she’s a perfect spider to have in a building.
Thanks. I suspected that is what she is, but had never seen one before.
