She’s Argiope aurantia, a Black and Yellow Garden Spider. She’s like an early Halloween decoration. The style of web she has is an orb web. The pattern is often used in Halloween decorations. She isn’t actually scary. She’s big because she is eating a lot of bugs to nourish the eggs growing inside her. She’ll make an egg sac in late summer or autumn before she dies from cold weather. She won’t bite you unless you handle her roughly bare-handed. You probably won’t choose to do that anyway. 🙂
Great information TangledWeb!
