I have never seen a spider like this, any ideas please? TIA

I am not familiar with European species, but this is certainly some type of Wolf Spider. Female Wolf Spiders carry their egg sacs around until they hatch. The spiderlings ride on their mother’s back and then gradually disperse. That’s the behavior you’re seeing here – hundreds of babies riding piggyback.
