Hi. This is a wolf spider, Lycosidae family. Uncertain which one.
That is a very prominent heart mark, maybe soon to molt.

Hello, thank you for your info! I can’t seem to find any pictures online of a wolf spider that looks like this one. That is why I assumed it was a Diamond. Its all the same color, no other markings and has that black Diamond with a white line around it.
I never heard the term Black Diamond Spider. It’s the genus Thanatus https://bugguide.net/node/view/6825 of Wolf Spiders. We don’t see many photos of them submitted to us. It looks like a good possibility. The link lists the species in North America. What do you think Bugman?
Hi. I think you pegged this one, Thanatus it is.
Thank you and thanks for working on Spider IDs into the middle of the night.
Been a night owl as long as I remember. My bad eyes and hearing, maybe turning into a spider.
You are welcome. TangledWeb called this and the same never hearing the name ‘Diamond’. Not an inappropriate name, but you don’t find that in world spider catalog or spiders of north America field guide.
Thank you both very much.. That was just a name of the one I found online. I’m not sure about the scientific names/genus. Thank you I appreciate all your help ☺️
