Appears to be a beautiful Argiope aurantia
(Black and Yellow Garden Spider). Found next to my dock in the low brush of the shore of Pine River Pond, Sanbornville New Hampshire. Yeah…. Didn’t break out the microscope….

Sorry, the list isn’t current. Someone found one in Milton last summer. Still, it isn’t common in New Hampshire. I had to go to South Carolina to find the only one I’ve seen. So, I think your find is cool!
