Picture of unidentified spider

Comments & ID Thoughts

The spider is kinda chunky. Kind of resembles a jumping spider but I can't seem to identify it. It's in my backyard and I'd like to move it but I don't know if it's venomous. Please help me identify it if you can. Anything would be appreciated.

Yes she looks like an Orb Weaver in genus Neoscona. The females can scientifically called giants relative to the males. The females have more molts and live longer. They need to be big to catch and eat big prey. Their eggs get larger inside them and their abdomen can stretch significantly.
I didn’t realize that there was a spider subreddit group. The answers from online groups like that are quite good now. People tell us what they’ve been told by groups online and the answers seem to be improving over the last few years.
