Comments & ID Thoughts

Has stayed in the same location for months hardly moving. This is the same spider from my previous post, but a better shot of it.

Hi. Southern house spider. These totally harmless spider can live over 5 years and unless they are starved or driven out, spend their whole life in their web/hole.
Mine lived behind my water cooler over 5 years.
She looks like she could use a nice jucy moth or cricket. Check this out.

Yet another. Contrary to the video, these are not huge spiders and they don’t care much for light. Fairly darkened they will come out to add to their web or take old food bolus to their ‘trash pile’.

A friend keeps hers in one of those 1 gallon popcorn jugs with a folded piece of cardboard for a hide.
