This spider was seen in a northern Connecticut bedroom however we had visitors staying in the room from Texas at the time (possibly a hitchhiker?)

Hi, she probably was a false widow, Steatoda grossa. They are common throughout much of the U.S. She would normally be in a dark niche area, like behind or under furniture. They have a better sense of touch than eyesight. They try to avoid people if they feel vibrations from our movements.
