Found her walking in front of me on the sidewalk and was surprised by her size and coloration.
Might be Araneus diadematus, but she was larger than the ones I know and the color is very different.

Possible Araneus gemmoides
But isn’t gemmoides supposed to be native to US and Canada?
Hi. Araneus marmoreus. Marbled orb weaver. If not driven from her web/hide, she may be seeking a safe place to make her eggs. Some call these orange ones pumpkin spiders, looking to be carrying a pumpkin. I found one like this in a parking lot. Picked her up and put her under some bushes. Araneus diadematus. A gravid female, which makes her look like quadratus, but the typical 4 spot pattern is missing. Also, the humps on the shoulders are not consistent with that species.
