Comments & ID Thoughts

This spider is massive in leg span . Really skinny legs . Maybe part of the whip spider or daddy long legs ... No idea ... The size is like 10-15cm leg span is my guess ... Climbed out of the gutter ... I find them often but never this big . When the leave and enter the sun they seem to die. No idea why . Really love to know what they are .

Hi. One of the Opiliones. Harvestman. They are sometimes called daddy long legs, but not true spiders. Totally harmless, they produce no venom or silk.
I usually find them about 5 CM across the legs, but one living in my kitchen measured 20 CM legspan.
