True, also a big tell(besides dorsal pattern) for this one is the amount of brown left even though it appears to be very close to maturity. L. Hesperus tend to retain more brown than mactans or variolus, especially the males. I’ve seen a ton get misidentified as geometricus in FB ID groups simply because of that.
Latrodectus species. Mactans, Variolus, Hesperia. It is not a geometricus

It’s not a Latrodectus variolus as the first circle behind cephalothorax is not wider then it is high.
