This Spider is living in my window area and has been for a while, my first guess was that is is a False Widow but I am not certain after looking on the Internet, any help would be great, I want to know if this is a spider that can bite me.

That’s okay, that’s a question to help us with identification. We know this one. It’s Steatoda nobilis, a Noble False Widow. Technically, it can bite you if you pressed bare skin against it, hurting it. So avoid that. 🙂 The info about these spiders on the internet is full of deliberately nonfiction lying stories and misinformation. False Widows have been in the UK for centuries, but this particular species has been successful at becoming cosmopolitan. We have it on the West Coast now in the US. So, this spider’s venom is not medically significant to people. They have no desire to bite us. They prefer to escape and hide. They only bite when they are trapped or being injured by pressure. Most animals bite in that situation. The UK stories are so fake that they can be hilarious. The most fake one I’ve read involved one of these timid little spiders chasing TWO men down a street, catching both of them! Killing one and putting the other in a coma or full body paralysis.
