Comments & ID Thoughts
From searching on your website I think it is a Misumena vatia
(Golden-rod Crab Spider). This picture was taken beside the suspension bridge in the Nisga'a Village of Gitwinksihlkw in British Columbia when we went as a group to see it and walk it. My 6 year old daughter found this spider and I took some photos of it to identify it later. By the way, is it poisonous? I posted it on Facebook and some people commented that it is a crab spider (which seems to be a generic name for many) and that it is poisonous. Some say that their bite just stings for a few days, so I'm not sure what is true since lots of people misidentify things and have misinformed information. I hope you like the photo I got of this little fellow/lady (not sure which gender it is yet :) )

Hi, your image has been filed. See above image for ID. 🙂 Like most spiders they have venom but are unlikely to bite except in self defense and are not considered to be of medical significance.
